Open Source Festival 2022

Open-source has led to the creation of financial systems that make it easy to move value, yet many people are still left behind. Freelancers working from many countries experience high fees and face challenges with sending and receiving payments. And access to cross-border payment options is limited for many. Stefan's keynote will highlight his contributions to open-source payment protocols and the challenges he experienced along the way as he navigated international payment networks.

This keynote will also shine a light on what inspired him to co-create Interledger, an interoperability protocol with the potential to connect ledgers from existing financial institutions, blockchains, virtual currencies, as well as offline payment systems.
