Since the pandemic, the adoption of the Cloud has grown at an explosive rate. Developers are building applications that end up on the cloud more than ever before. As more engineers build for the Cloud, we must go beyond just hosting but take advantage of the full benefit of agility and scalability of the Cloud platform to “build great product faster”

Developers are adopting the Cloud-Native development approach to take advantage of these benefits. In this talk, we will discuss, first, the different Cloud-Native Development approaches (Containers, Serverless Functions & Platform as a Service), then anti-patterns that can prevent us - engineers - from enjoying the full benefit of scalability of the cloud and then look at how the 12-Factor approach address these anti-patterns.
