There are lots of Open Source programs out there, and very few of them focus on technical writing and Open Source Documentations. Google Season of Docs is one of such few programs that aims at getting more people to do Open Source Documentation Writing. A lot of people aren’t quite aware of it yet, while a good number of those who are aware are oblivion of how to craft a good GSoD application.

I have participated in GSoD twice in a row and I want to share my experience with other open source enthusiasts. In this talk, I will talk about the GSoD program and its benefits. I will Introduce aspiring GSoD interns to the application process and share with them useful tips and information on how to craft a good GSoD application, what to do pre and post GSoD and how to make the most of the program.
